Originally from Las Vegas, NV, Iyanna came to Chicago in 2022 to be surrounded by family. She now lives in Lincoln Square, and even though there aren’t any casinos or bright-light strips, she already feels like she can call Chicago home.

Iyanna is currently pursuing her BA in psychology, taking online courses after she finishes her work day here with us. She felt the the overall lack of awareness about mental health in the black community led her to want to study psychology and make a change for the better–and she starts with herself each morning! She practices yoga every morning and we are all appreciative of the calmness she brings to the clinic.
